I converted a user mailbox to a shared mailbox (using Powershell), and it works as expected. I understand that a shared mailbox does not require a license as long as it is under 5GB (which ours is). I would like to unassign the license from the shared mailbox.
Our Office 365 is 'post upgrade' (blue bar at top). Under Admin > Users and Groups, the shared mailbox is not listed (i.e. it lists my other users, but not the shared mailbox - the shared mailbox is only listed under shared mailboxes). Also, under licenses, it displays that all my licenses are assigned (whereas I should have one less assigned due to the shared mailbox).
How can I unassign the license from the shared mailbox - preferably using the web interface, but if that is not possible, a PowerShell cmdlet will suffice.
Thanks,
-Chris
