I have one client who has two users experiencing slow performance with outlook. All other users on the network seem to be fine. One user has an ost file of about 17 gigs. From what I have seen personally that is extremely large. The normal large ost I have seen is maybe 2 to 3 gigs. I am assuming this is partly the cause of the issue. Cached mode is obviously enabled. My only possible solution is to reduced the size of the mailbox. However I would like to see if there are any other suggestions. What I would also like more info on is the online archiving feature. I know creating a local outlook archive will and should increase performance. I have not used online archiving before so I am curious if that will make any difference to performance as the archive I world imagine would still need to be synced with the ost. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
