Force Search Center to open documents in desktop applications

Hi,

I would like to set our SharePoint Search Center to open document in desktop Office applications when they are clicked on in the search results page.

I have set Open Documents in Client Applications by Default (in site collection administration) for all site collections (including the search one). However, this doesn't work and documents are still opened in Web apps. Is there any workaround?
