My organization is using Exchange 2010, SP2 (we can't upgrade to SP3 yet due to 3rd party archiving compatibility reasons).
We have selected about 100 users who we want to pilot O365. After federation is complete, we can see all accounts on the O365 side, SSO still isn't completed, and now we are looking to move mailboxes one at a time.
PROBLEM: We have never allowed RPCoverHTTPS or external Outlook Anywhere access. We require all users to SSL VPN into the network before being able to access email from either IE or Outlook. The problem now is that since we don't have these access features opened up or running, we don't have AutoDiscover externally so the mailbox migration wizard fails to locate the CAS and/or Outlook Anywhere servers. So right now everyone is forced thru the SSL VPN and then directed thru to the Load Balancers then CAS servers. IMAP is also turned off. (We're pretty secure, fortunately and unfortunately).
QUESTION: Do I have to set up external AutoDiscovery and DNS entries and enable RPC over HTTPS and or Outlook Anywhere to be able to move mailboxes across to O365?
So is there any suggestion from anyone on getting thru this and moving mailboxes without having to create all the extra (temporary/pilot) DNS and AutoDiscover names and RPCoverHTTPS services?
Thanks in advance,
↧
