I am a retail currency and commodity trader trying to setup a Trading Journal on my SharePoint site.
I have setup a List where I can enter trade specifics (i.e. analysis, entry date, position, size, notes, broker ID, etc...)
I have multiple views which the trade will move through depending on its status (watching, active trade, deferred, closed), and each view has a link on the Quick Launch bar for easy access
I am also setting up multiple forms, depending on the status of the trade, so I only enter the relevant information at each stage of the trade.
I would like to change the 'Title' column to either an automatically generated random number or an ascending number, I have little experience with setting up SharePoint lists but if I remember correctly you can do it in MS Access and use it as the PK.
I did originally think about setting up an Access App that would perform the same function, but I think a SharePoint list suits my needs better.
Any help with my Status column would be appreciated
